Starting anew

Hi, my name is Catherine.

It's been a long time since I have had a blog... Well not so long since I've had one, but since I've posted on it, yeah. Don't know how successful I will be with this one, but lately I have had the urge to blog again.  To share my life with random people. To see my words on my computer screen.  And, of course to vent.  Becoming a member of Pinterest and following all the numerous links to blogs all over the internet cloud has increased that urge.  So, here I am.  Not sure exactly what I'll do here, but I can promise you it will be random.

I am a wife and a mother.  My sons are 4, 7, and 13.  It's always an adventure!  We've recently moved to Texas from New Mexico, with a strange side trip for three months to California.  It's a incredibly tense  interesting adjustment overall.  I'm hoping that sometime soon I will begin to feel like I fit in.  The Woodlands is a beautiful place to live, but it is an adjustment.

I am a silver-smith.  I sell my jewelry on-line.  Although recently I've begun thinking of doing a few Arts and Crafts Festivals to unload some of this stuff give these beautiful jewelry pieces good homes.  So, I may often shamelessly push my wares on this site as well as others.  I am also an "amateur" business owner.  I don't know that I've got the hand of it enough yet to say that I am a business owner.  I'd much rather just create, but then our house would be over-run with jewelry with no one to wear it.

I am also a scrapbooker.  After spending several years away from the craft, I have recently found a renewed interest and joy in it.  Creating paper-crafts is like nothing else in the world of art-ing.  It's a different type of fullfillment! So maybe once in a while I will share some scrapbook pages or crafty creations.

I am over-stressed (for apparently no reason), over-worked (even though I don't have a "real" job), and incredibly blessed!  Our life is good!  Very good!  But I am not like some of the bloggers out there that feel they have to make everything look perfect.  I'm not, and my family is not.  I won't try to pretend any different here.  But I do my best at staying focused on the positive and my wonderful boys and hubby are what help me do that.

I'm also an ametuer photographer.  What scrapbooker isn't... And, I am just learning how to use actions to edit my photos.  It's amazing how much time it takes to take a "good" photo to "great".  Not that I am by any means close to those fantastic photography blogs out there that never seem to take a bad picture.  Wow, if you could see all the bad pictures it takes to get to a good one!  I can't everr seem to delete them all from my memory card, but I can't share them... It's an illness I know.  I take tons of photos though.  I am the typical Mamarazzi. I love it!

I edited a photo of the middle child, but I guess I forgot to save it when I was done... Or pse froze and I wasn't able to.  UGH!  Gotta do it again.  But for now, here are my three barbarians.  They make me smile!
Ok, that's the intro.  Not extremely interesting, except to my momma, but we'll see where this goes.
